On 8 July 2011 to be exact, the professional racing cyclists of the Tour de France 2011 will briefly pass through our department of Loir-et-Cher.
It is the opportunity for all the fans of the “petite reine” (the little queen) to meet for this popular event.
The day’s stage of 218km will link Le Mans to Châteauroux by passing through 2 places well known by the Chatmouettes :
Montoire-sur-le-Loir
For this sporting event, some old bikes have been retrieved and installed just about anywhere in the town, such as Place du maréchal Foch and the Town Hall, to celebrate the visit of the Tour de France. Regarding the race, the cyclists will come from Trôo and will pass through Montoire-sur-le-Loir following the itinerary below :
- avenue de la Madeleine
- rue Saint-Oustrille
- rue Ronsard
- place Clémenceau
- rue Saint-laurent
- rue du Général de Gaulle

Then, they will continue toward Saint-Amand-Longpré !

- the racing cyclists will pass through between 13h47 and 13h56
Chaumont-sur-Loire
Unavoidable passage by the Loire by bike, the Chatmouettes have already cycled in this town many times :
The cyclists will come from Onzain to cross the Loire and Chaumont-sur-Loire where the cyclists will get fresh supplies ! Then, they will take the direction of Montrichard.
