– Just before arriving at Amboise, route a bit far from the Loire and in the vines, exposed to winds.
– Some hills

And here we go, to Amboise from Blois as usual for one of our most important journey, just to test ourselves toward our project.
We start by following the road which serves as a barrier for a few kilometres, and which is, unfortunately, on the opposite side of the Loire, but no worries.
Across the fields, we follow the road to Chailles but we turn just before to go to Candé-sur-Beuvron where we arrive by a downward slope.

After crossing the small blooming stone bridge under which runs the Beuvron, we probably follow the best part of this route at the closest of the Loire, which takes us to Chaumont and its castle.

But our road goes on and diverts us from the Loire and makes us take some roads across the countryside, then takes us back at the level of the Loire and once again pushes us aside to take some roads in the vines just before Amboise.

We arrive at Amboise by the hills and the castle which gives us a panoramic view of the city.

But no time to waste, we go on our route toward the city centre at the bottom of the castle where we enjoy a small break and drink a beer at a terrace and then we have lunch by the riverside of the Loire.

After this stop, we go to the Pagoda of Chanteloup but once there, it looks like we took the wrong way as we find ourselves in the middle of a field on the other side of the Pagoda park, blocked by an insurmountable bush. Well, never mind ! We see the Pagoda, that’s the most important !

When leaving the field, we try to find a negotiable way, more or less. To do that, we have to dismount and cross a ditch covered with vegetation, among others, these small plants so nice, that are nettles and brambles. Here we go, the worst is done, we can now go back on the road and go on our trip … Well, actually no ! What happens when a wheel make contact with brambles ? Well, it depends, but in our case, a flat tyre. But no worries, because with a minimum of equipment, and pumping a little, the bike is ready again to face the dangers of the road.

And here we go again, toward Amboise to return on our road but in the opposite direction in order to go back to Blois. Passing by Chaumont-sur-Loire again, we stop for a little traditional beers tasting session and leaving with our backpack full on the way to Blois.
